Andy Schmidt - Bio
Andy Schmidt is a Hamilton, Ontario based artist primarily working in painting and photography. While completing his BFA in Photography Studies at Toronto Metropolitan University in 2013, Schmidt actively participated in both solo and group exhibitions throughout Ontario and has sold to collections both locally and internationally.
Being a self-taught painter from a young age, Schmidt expresses artistic themes of memory, community, and introspection through elements of realism and abstraction. Outside of his personal work, Schmidt strongly believes in working with local charities and volunteers his time teaching children living in family shelters how to paint through local initiatives.
